About
Hi, I’m Gianna, your documentary photographer. There are so many different kinds of photographers out there - some have big energy that fills the room and are great at orchestrating and directing while others know that being quiet carries it’s own magic.
I love to let your day unfold naturally, while being there with gentle guidance and support as needed.
My curious and introverted nature is my greatest asset in this work, and it’s my deep honor to be trusted with your stories.
A little bit more about me, since you’ve made it here!
I’ve been honing my craft, refining my perspective and deepening my skill behind the camera since I was a teenager learning darkroom photography in the 90’s.
I have over 2 decades of experience photographing people at work, play and celebration including Kashmir, Tanzania and Kenya, festivals, births and ancestral skills gatherings in the deserts of the Southwest.
I’m currently focusing on weddings, family and other resonant projects close to my home on the Olympic Peninsula.
I’m a mother, wife, chai-drinker, nature-lover, cat lady and creator of whimsical handmade dolls that I sell at handmade markets in the PNW.
