Sean and Cherise

A Heartfelt Homestead Celebration

In a lot of ways, this was the kind of wedding I was made for. A super sweet and chill type B-bride, a beautiful and remote homestead and a self-proclaimed “awkward” couple who turned out to be absolute pros in front of the camera.

Of all the shareable moments, this is the one that stands out.

After a gorgeous and heartfelt ceremony (officiated by their good friend) and cocktail hour spent celebrating, we headed a short way up the road to a mountain vista viewpoint. What happened next is a shining example of how less direction can make for better stories.

“Why don’t you take some time with each other” is all I needed to say, and their love for each other did the rest.

From reciting improptu vows, to the groom celebrating his gorgeous bride in front of the Olympic Mountains, it’s the kind of moment I live for as a photographer and feel so honored to be trusted with.
